Nutanix is consolidating three separate content development functions—technical customer education, sales and partner enablement, and non-course materials—into a single, unified team under one leader. This Senior Director role owns the strategic and operational integration of these practices, establishing shared standards, tooling, and quality bars while preserving specialized treatment where audiences genuinely require it. Key responsibilities include: **Organizational Integration & Leadership**: Merge three teams with different standards and stakeholders into one function. Design the organizational structure and operating model. Lead and develop team members into owners of their respective areas. **Catalog & Taxonomy Ownership**: Establish and maintain a comprehensive, navigable catalog across technical courses, hands-on labs, sales enablement, partner programs, assessments, job aids, playbooks, and reference materials. Own tagging, metadata, versioning, currency tracking, and lifecycle management. This foundational work underpins all downstream systems and usage. **Coverage & Prioritization**: Work with role-based enablement, customer education, partner enablement, and regional teams to ensure the catalog covers business requirements. Bring a point of view on gaps rather than waiting for requests. Make ruthless prioritization decisions and explicitly communicate what is not being done. **Assessment Design & Delivery**: Build knowledge checks, scenario assessments, and hands-on labs that demonstrate capability rather than recall. Own quality and currency. Partner with the Director of Certification to build a valuable, job-ready assessment catalog. **Enablement of Contributors**: Design content management processes, templates, review paths, and governance that allow subject matter experts and regional teams to create and curate content without central bottlenecks or quality degradation. **Tooling & Innovation**: Stay current with authoring platforms, video, labs, simulation, and AI-assisted development. Pilot deliberately, adopt what earns its place, retire what does not. Own the agentic authoring initiative that allows Nutanix experts to build courses without instructional design training. **Leverage & Efficiency**: Get more from a lean team through systems, standards, and prioritization rather than volume. Reserve custom development for work that genuinely warrants it. The role reports to the VP of Enablement and Customer Education and works closely with Product Management, Product Marketing, and the digital experience/AI platforms function. Travel approximately 25% internationally. **Requirements**: - Deep experience leading content or curriculum development at scale across multiple audience types, including technical content and hands-on labs - Demonstrated experience merging teams or practices and leading people through change - Strong catalog and taxonomy discipline: tagging, metadata, versioning, currency, and retirement as an operating practice (not annual cleanup) - Proven track record of getting more from small teams through systems, standards, and prioritization - Assessment design experience, including performance-based and lab-based validation - Currency with modern content toolchains, including AI-assisted authoring, with judgment to distinguish real capability from demonstration - Experience building contribution and governance models that enable external content creation without catalog degradation - Ability to say no effectively to stakeholders while maintaining relationships - Preferred: combination of customer-facing education, partner/channel content, localization at scale, or experience working alongside certification/credentialing functions - Willingness to travel internationally approximately 25%
