Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform, enabling individuals to trade on real-world outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. The platform operates as a peer-to-peer marketplace with no centralized house, aggregating diverse opinions into transparent, market-based probabilities. With $21B traded in 2025 and rapid growth, Polymarket is positioning itself as a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media.
The Role
Polymarket's operational infrastructure has not kept pace with its growth. This Senior Director of Business Operations role sits at the center of the business, working directly with executive leadership to translate strategy into execution across all functions. You will own planning cycles, metrics, cross-functional programs, and prioritization decisions. This is not a support function—you will be expected to have opinions, make decisions, and drive outcomes.
The BizOps team is small with large scope. You will build the operating model while running it, with much of the work being zero-to-one. There is no established playbook for most of what Polymarket does; this role is responsible for writing it. Success requires holding complexity across multiple workstreams, earning trust from functional leaders through usefulness rather than authority, and moving fluidly between board-level strategy and operational problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Own annual and quarterly planning cycles, including OKR-setting, long-range planning, and quarterly business reviews with executive and functional leadership
- Run weekly and monthly business reviews, building dashboards, scorecards, and reporting infrastructure that leadership uses to track performance and make decisions
- Scope and launch new initiatives without clear owners (market entry, partnership structures, internal pilots) and see them through to operational handoff
- Serve as connective tissue across product, engineering, sales, marketing, and finance on cross-functional programs
- Unblock stalled work by diagnosing root causes, resolving prioritization conflicts, and driving decisions when teams are stuck
- Prepare briefing documents, decision memos, and executive/board materials for high-stakes decision-making
- Identify operational inefficiencies and build playbooks and processes that reduce dependence on tribal knowledge
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Business Operations, Strategy and Operations, or Chief of Staff function, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing teams or programs at significant scale
- Demonstrated track record of building cross-functional operating processes from scratch, including planning cycles, business reviews, and metrics infrastructure
- Strong analytical foundation with experience in forecasting, unit economics, cohort analysis, and variance analysis; fluency in SQL or willingness to learn quickly
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs where you had influence but not direct authority
- Clear, structured written communication; ability to write tight decision memos and board slides that land without verbal explanation
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity; experience scoping and solving problems with no existing owner
- Preferred: experience at high-growth technology companies or marketplace businesses, especially those in regulated or novel industries
- Preferred: exposure to financial products, trading platforms, or consumer applications with real-time data and complex user behavior
