Salary: USD 161,300 - 274,200 / annual
ServiceNow's Advanced Technology Group (ATG) is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with DevOps expertise to build AI and ML solutions that transform enterprise service workflows. You will work on the AI platform powering intelligent enterprise services, enabling any user—regardless of technical background—to operate services at scale.
In this role, you will:
- Build cloud-based AI/ML solutions for intelligent enterprise services
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and quality engineers to deliver high-quality software
- Own the full lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, and delivery of solutions to 5,000+ enterprise customers
- Deploy, scale, and operate services in production Kubernetes environments using Helm and CI/CD pipelines
- Own observability: define meaningful metrics, useful logs, tracing, and alerts focused on customer impact
- Debug and resolve production incidents independently, participate in on-call rotations, and conduct root-cause analysis against defined SLOs
You will be part of a dual-mission team: building and evolving the AI platform while researching and de-risking emerging AI technologies for future work experiences.
Requirements:
- Expertise in Go or Python, design patterns, and time/space-efficient algorithms
- Experience building products using challenging algorithms
- Expertise in coding efficient, object-oriented, modularized, quality software
- Knowledge of core AI/ML techniques and algorithms
- Knowledge of unit testing, profiling, and code tuning
- DevOps: deploy, scale, and operate services in production Kubernetes environments (Helm, CI/CD)
- Own observability for systems you build with meaningful metrics, logs, tracing, and alerts
- Ability to debug and resolve production incidents independently, participate in on-call, run root-cause analysis, and operate against SLOs
Desired (not required):
- Confident use of AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor) with critical review of AI-generated code
- AI-assisted debugging and trace analysis with understanding of data privacy in prompts
