GenLogs is a transportation-technology company building next-generation truck intelligence through a nationwide network of sensors and proprietary data. The company delivers real-time, high-fidelity insights into freight movement for commercial supply-chain customers and public-sector agencies, operating at the intersection of edge sensing, computer vision, AI-driven analytics, and large-scale field deployment. The Engineering team builds and sustains end-to-end systems powering the country's most advanced commercial-vehicle sensing and intelligence network. Engineers develop everything from roadside hardware and embedded software to computer vision pipelines, distributed cloud infrastructure, and real-time data services. The team is responsible for reliability, accuracy, and security of the sensor network and its data products, operating across edge, cloud, and field environments. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will define and scale infrastructure for systems enabling the future of freight intelligence by leveraging AI, distributed sensors, and multiple datasets to track commercial trucks across the United States and beyond. Key responsibilities include: - Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, Route 53) - Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform for automation and scaling - Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automate software delivery - Monitor and optimize AWS resources for performance, cost, and security - Implement cloud networking including VPC configuration, subnets, and security groups - Manage AWS services such as RDS, ECS, and S3 - Configure and manage AWS Route 53 for DNS and domain management - Set up VPN networks and manage remote IoT devices - Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery practices - Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in real-time - Stay updated with AWS best practices and emerging cloud technologies REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of experience, preferably on high-transactional and distributed systems - Proven experience managing AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, ECS, Route 53) - Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation and orchestration - Solid understanding of networking principles (DNS, VPCs, security groups) in AWS - Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline - Strong proficiency in Linux system administration - Experience with Docker and containerization technologies - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong knowledge of bash and Python scripting - Fluency in writing SQL queries, including joins, aggregations, and filtering across complex relational and non-relational datasets - High effectiveness and communication working in remote and distributed teams PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) - Experience with additional IaC tools like Ansible or CloudFormation - Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, or Prometheus - Experience with management of remote IoT devices
