Forescout is a cybersecurity company protecting critical infrastructure for Fortune 100 organizations, government agencies, and large enterprises. In this Senior DevOps Engineer role, you will work with development teams to design and support security products and platforms, establish DevOps best practices, and lead infrastructure operations for a SaaS service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with development teams on system design and platform support
- Establish and communicate DevOps, continuous delivery, and automation best practices
- Execute major infrastructure changes and provide Tier 2/3 support during maintenance windows
- Support SaaS services with on-call availability during North American business hours (may require irregular work hours)
- Perform capacity planning and operational activities for key infrastructure services
- Mentor Associate and Junior Engineers
- Document activities in ticketing systems
- Troubleshoot production issues spanning applications, networks, and systems
You will work with remote teams across different time zones, requiring strong communication and collaboration skills.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years of hands-on experience deploying and integrating complex systems across multiple operating system environments
- 4+ years of experience with a leading cloud vendor (Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon AWS)
- Advanced scripting experience (bash and Python required)
- Strong proficiency with Kubernetes and kubectl for deploying, managing, and troubleshooting workloads
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tooling: Docker, Jenkins, Helm, Terraform
- In-depth experience running production workloads (monitoring, capacity planning, service deployments, pod debugging)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively with remote teams across time zones
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for multi-domain problems
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent (Advanced degree preferred)
