Mejuri, a modern fine jewelry brand founded in 2015, is seeking a Senior Demand Planner to own end-to-end unit sales forecasting and receipt planning across assigned product pillars and collections. This role is central to the monthly S&OP cycle and directly influences buying decisions across Mejuri's omnichannel footprint (online, app, and 58+ global retail stores).
You will build bottom-up monthly unit forecasts at the geography and style/color level over a 12–18 month rolling horizon, accounting for returns and market-level dynamics. You'll translate demand into monthly receipt dollar needs, manage inventory coverage targets (weeks-of-supply and safety stock), and own size distribution curves for every sized style. Your forecast integrates customer insights, product strategy, market trends, and operational constraints—particularly important in jewelry, where demand moves with gifting moments, cultural trends, and input cost fluctuations.
Key responsibilities include driving the monthly S&OP cadence (actualizing prior month, reforecasting on real signals, leading consensus meetings, presenting to senior leadership), tracking forecast accuracy and bias at the style/color level, and distinguishing genuine demand shifts from supply-constrained misses. You'll manage the full style lifecycle from new introductions through growth, peak, maturity, and exit phases, and partner with Supply as a two-way early warning system on excess inventory, stockouts, delivery delays, and quality issues.
You'll also continuously improve the demand planning process—methodology, tooling, automation—and work alongside AI tools as part of Mejuri's AI-fluent organization. The role requires 3–5 years of demand planning, merchandise planning, inventory planning, or retail analytics experience in fast-paced retail, DTC, or e-commerce environments, with meaningful time owning a forecast (not just reporting). Strong forecasting methodology knowledge, Excel/SQL proficiency, and comfort with ambiguity and cross-functional collaboration are essential.
