You will join the Data Team as a Senior Data Scientist embedded in cross-functional marketing teams, working alongside the MarTech Product Manager, performance marketers, tech leads, and the Data Strategy team. Your focus will be on designing and deploying data solutions that drive marketing optimization, measurement, and strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with performance marketing teams to develop data solutions for campaign optimization, budget allocation, and ROI measurement
- Roll out Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) to additional countries and build an automated MMM budget platform using advanced Bayesian statistics
- Design and analyze incrementality tests using causal inference methods to quantify incremental marketing ROI
- Create a unified system connecting MMM and incrementality results
- Shape the testing roadmap and design a Creative Analytics framework with new metrics (e.g., creative fatigue) to scale new channels
- Improve targeting and bidding strategies using regression models to assign predictive weights to funnel events
- Act as a sparring partner to the Applied AI team: support model rollouts, analyze impact, interpret feature importance, and guide projects with business and data science expertise
- Collaborate with Data Engineering on scalable data pipelines, ETL optimization, and adoption of new tools and frameworks
- Contribute to cross-company data initiatives aligned with the organization's data vision
- Proactively support the application of predictive models in performance marketing channels
You will have a home base in the Barcelona Hub with a generous relocation package, though the role is based in Amsterdam. The team uses modern tools including Databricks, Snowflake, Looker, Apache Spark, dbt, and Airflow.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience as a Data Scientist working with performance marketing teams in B2C environments, delivering business insights and building data products
- Knowledge of incrementality and attribution methodologies
- Skilled in developing and deploying machine learning models
- Experience designing and evaluating A/B tests and experimentation
- Background working in marketplaces and/or digital business environments in performance marketing context
- Strong coding skills in SQL and Python
- Creative mindset and proactive approach to developing and evaluating new solutions
- Strong curiosity, problem-solving, and problem-finding skills
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English
- AI mindset: use AI to boost efficiency, work agentically, automate processes, and enable stakeholders
- Pragmatic problem-solver who finds elegant solutions through complexity
Nice to have:
- Experience with causal inference techniques (geo-lift testing, causal impact, synthetic control, difference-in-differences)
- Previous experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or Looker
- Experience with Apache Spark
- Knowledge of data orchestration tools (dbt, Airflow)
