This is a full-time technical role on the Engineering team.
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will lead the design, construction, and optimization of highly reliable, scalable, and secure data architecture. You will own the design and evolution of foundational healthcare data models and schemas from the ground up, leveraging industry standards such as TUVA, OMOP, and FHIR to translate clinical, operational, product, and reporting needs into scalable table structures, entities, and relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and architecting data systems for reliability, scalability, and security
- Designing core healthcare data models using industry standards
- Developing and maintaining complex, production-grade data pipelines that ingest, process, enrich, and normalize large volumes of healthcare data
- Establishing and enforcing data quality standards, monitoring, and validation processes
- Implementing query tuning, indexing, and partitioning strategies to optimize performance
- Designing and deploying scalable, secure cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code best practices
- Ensuring strict compliance with healthcare data regulations (HIPAA, HITRUST) and implementing data security best practices
- Developing direct, bi-directional integrations with electronic medical record platforms
You are a curious and eager problem solver with a passion for building well-designed, high-quality solutions. You strive to produce simple solutions to complex problems and engage in constructive dialogue to find the best path forward.
Requirements:
- Deep, hands-on experience working with healthcare data, including healthcare data standards and common data models such as TUVA, OMOP, or FHIR
