You will join the Product Engineering team as a Senior Data Engineer, responsible for developing, maintaining, and refactoring customer-facing analytical reporting. This is a key technical role where you'll collaborate closely with Data Analysts and Analytics Engineers to deliver valuable insights to customers. You'll be a key influencer within the product team, using strong technical and communication skills to work cross-functionally across the organization. Your main responsibilities include: - Design, build, and maintain high-quality Python applications for customer-facing reporting - Maintain and develop data pipelines to ensure data quality and consistency - Collaborate with analytics engineers to implement data model changes - Apply domain knowledge to enable the business to access data needed for informed decision-making - Work in a friendly, multi-disciplinary agile team and participate in Hack Weeks for innovative problem-solving Immersive Labs values determination, ingenuity, collaboration, and finding unique technical solutions for unique products. REQUIREMENTS: - Proficient in Python programming with experience using Plotly graphing libraries and application development (Flask and SQLAlchemy experience is a plus) - Experience maintaining data pipelines, managing infrastructure as code, and implementing data model changes - Strong proficiency with SQL in cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake) including performance optimization, data partitioning, and window functions - Experience following software engineering best practices including version control and continuous integration - Experience with dbt for data transformation layer - Experience with IaC tooling such as Terraform or CloudFormation - Experience with BI tooling such as Power BI or Looker - Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP Note: The posting encourages applications even if you don't match all requirements exactly, acknowledging the confidence gap in hiring.
