Salary: GBP 90,300 - 148,500 / annual
Camunda is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to join their team building an AI-native data platform. The company is the enterprise platform for agentic orchestration, enabling organizations to coordinate AI agents, people, and systems across complex business processes. In this role, you will lead improvements to data infrastructure and architecture, optimize query design and performance, build monitoring for data pipelines, and implement DataOps best practices. You'll partner with teams across Camunda to champion good data acquisition, storage, and stewardship practices. This is an existing vacancy on a small, accomplished team where you'll have visible impact and ownership.
The role involves building core pipelines, CI/CD processes, and shaping data architecture for an AI-native environment. You'll work on deploying, operating, and evolving data pipelines in the cloud (both batching and streaming), with a focus on clean code, automated testing, and collaborative knowledge-sharing.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of Data Engineering or ML experience
- Strong data modeling skills and several years of experience with dbt
- Experience deploying, operating, and evolving data pipelines in the cloud (batching and streaming)
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- ML/AI experience and comfort working in an AI-native environment
- Ability and/or willingness to use Camunda's product
- Ownership mindset suited to a small team
- Strong communication skills, enjoys sharing knowledge and learning collaboratively
- Passion for clean code and automated testing
