At Amenitiz, you'll lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and reliable data infrastructure that powers data-driven decision-making across the organization. As Senior Data Engineer, you'll architect and optimize ELT workflows using dbt, own core data models in Redshift, and implement governance and quality standards that shape the platform's future. You'll mentor junior engineers, lead design discussions, and collaborate with product, engineering, analytics, and data science teams to ensure the data foundation scales with business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing scalable, secure data pipelines
- Architecting and optimizing ELT workflows in dbt for modularity, performance, and adaptability
- Owning integrity, structure, and performance of core data models in Redshift
- Implementing data governance, observability, and quality standards across pipelines
- Integrating diverse data sources, APIs, and third-party platforms
- Partnering with engineering and product teams on data architecture improvements
- Monitoring, troubleshooting, and proactively optimizing pipeline performance
- Contributing to long-term data platform strategy and tool evaluations
- Mentoring junior engineers through code reviews and technical coaching
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of data engineering experience with proven track record scaling infrastructure in fast-growing environments
- Expert-level SQL and strong proficiency in Python or other data-related programming languages
- Hands-on experience with modern data platforms (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift) and orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt)
- Strong knowledge of cloud architectures (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and distributed systems
- Familiarity with data privacy, security, and governance frameworks
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with ability to diagnose complex issues
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience leading cross-team projects and mentoring
