7shifts is a scheduling and payroll platform serving over 55,000 restaurants. As Senior Data Analyst for GTM Operations, you will be the analytical partner to the Go-to-Market and Finance teams, reporting to the Manager of Data & Analytics.
Your primary focus is ensuring GTM and Finance teams have trustworthy data and actionable insights. You will own analytics end-to-end—from scoping business questions to extracting data from Snowflake, Stripe, Salesforce, and FinQore, then delivering recommendations leaders can act on. You'll lead strategic projects that improve operational efficiency by reducing manual work, clarifying definitions, and accelerating insight generation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning GTM and Finance analytics across the full lifecycle, from question definition through data extraction and business recommendation
- Leading cross-functional strategic projects that improve how GTM and Finance operate, coordinating with analysts, engineers, and business partners
- Building and maintaining dashboards, reports, and metric definitions as a single source of truth
- Enabling self-serve analytics by making data and tools more accessible to GTM and Finance teams
- Integrating AI into daily analytical workflows to accelerate analysis and improve team efficiency
- Mentoring teammates and establishing shared standards for scoping, building, and validating analytical work
- Bringing GTM and Finance needs back to the Data team to shape the analytics roadmap
You will work in a hybrid environment with offices in Toronto and Saskatoon, with flexibility to work remotely when appropriate.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years in data analytics or business intelligence, with strong experience in financial or go-to-market reporting
- Proven ability to own complex, ambiguous analysis end-to-end and translate findings into business decisions
- Strong SQL proficiency in modern data warehouses (Snowflake or equivalent) and hands-on experience with BI tools (ThoughtSpot or equivalent)
- Experience working with systems behind the numbers: Stripe, Salesforce, FinQore, or equivalent platforms
- Fluency in SaaS metrics (ARR, retention, pipeline) with judgment to connect analysis to revenue, cost, and operating outcomes
- Active use of AI in analytical work with clear understanding of where it adds value and where outputs require validation
- Strong cross-functional influence skills; ability to drive decisions without direct ownership
- Experience mentoring other analysts on analytical methods, SQL, or AI (formal or informal)
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Experience building AI agents or enabling AI adoption at a previous company
- Background in restaurant or hospitality industry
- Interest in growing into people leadership
