Mark43 is seeking a Data Migration Engineer (ETL Developer) to join their team and lead complex data migrations that enable public safety agencies to adopt Mark43's systems with confidence. You'll be at the heart of the customer transition experience, designing and executing SQL-based ETL processes that transform decades of legacy public safety data into clean, meaningful, high-quality data within Mark43 products.
In this role, you will design and execute SQL-based ETL processes to migrate public safety data from legacy systems into the Mark43 platform; collaborate with data migration contractors, reviewing technical deliverables and providing guidance; meet with customers' records management teams to understand legacy data structures and translate them to Mark43 schemas; investigate uniquely formatted source databases to uncover edge cases and ensure data fidelity; work alongside Mark43 deployment, engineering, and product teams to iterate on and improve migration tooling and processes; and balance project timelines and quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

IMPORTANT: Due to the nature of Mark43's customers, this role requires NPPV3 (Non-Police Personnel Vetting Level 3) + SC clearance. Mark43 will sponsor and support the vetting process for successful candidates. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United Kingdom.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of experience in a data migration, ETL development, or SQL development role
- Deep understanding of SQL and relational database design
- Demonstrated experience writing complex SQL scripts
- Ability to analyze and translate legacy data models into new schemas
- Experience managing contractor deliverables (a plus)
- Interest in public safety data and the impact of high-quality migrations on customer success
- Prior work with public safety or government systems (a bonus)
