Pennylane is a fast-growing fintech company building a financial operating system for French SMEs and accounting firms, with plans to expand across Europe. The company has raised β¬400M (including from Sequoia), grown to 1,000+ employees across 25+ nationalities, and serves over 1.3M SMEs and 6,000 accounting firms.
You will join the Science & Analytics team within the Data department (40+ people) as a Senior Data Analyst focused on Acquisition (5+ person team). This is a pivotal role where data-driven decision-making is core to company culture.
Key responsibilities:
- Proactively identify business growth opportunities and process improvements using data
- Partner closely with Sales & Operations leaders to anticipate critical business questions and deliver rigorous statistical analyses
- Steer decision-making in your business area by navigating ambiguity and collaborating across functions
- Drive self-service analytics adoption by understanding colleague needs and promoting data-driven culture
- Contribute to Data Warehouse modeling using dbt alongside the Science & Analytics team
- Influence the Data Engineering roadmap to improve the data platform experience
- Within 6 months, proactively contribute to team roadmap, mentor new team members, and design new processes and tools
Within your first month, you'll complete onboarding, learn the company and product deeply, and deliver small projects. By month three, you'll independently support your business area and be comfortable with the technical stack. Beyond six months, you'll take on increased project leadership and mentorship responsibilities as the data team scales.
The role is based in Paris with hybrid flexibility. Pennylane offers remote work options across Europe (within CET +/- 2 hours) depending on team needs. French-based employees receive additional benefits including 6-12 RTT days, 5 weeks PTO, lunch credits, and healthcare coverage.
Requirements:
- 5-6 years of experience as a Data Analyst, ideally in scale-up environments
- Proficiency with SQL, dbt, and data visualization tools
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders beyond the data team
- Strong business acumen and ability to be a trusted partner to business stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate ideas clearly
- Fluent in French and English
