Salary: USD 126,000 - 140,000 / annual

Horizon3.ai is a fast-growing cybersecurity company that delivers autonomous pentests and security assessments at scale. The NodeZero platform helps organizations proactively find and fix exploitable attack vectors before criminals exploit them, serving organizations from educational institutions to Global 100 enterprises. You will be the technical owner of new customer onboarding, responsible for taking accounts from sales handoff to successful production deployment of NodeZero within a 30-day window. This role combines the technical depth of a Senior Technical Support Engineer with time-boxed implementation work. You will diagnose complex problems, perform root-cause analysis, and create knowledge assets that support the broader team. When bandwidth allows, you will assist the support team with standard case management. Key responsibilities include: - Lead customer kickoff meetings to confirm scope, environments, access paths, compliance constraints, and success criteria - Project-manage the 30-day onboarding plan, tracking blockers and coordinating with internal and customer stakeholders - Diagnose and resolve implementation failures across cloud infrastructure, networking, and security - Work in Linux production environments: configuration, performance tuning, hardening, and troubleshooting - Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes - Provision and troubleshoot pentest configurations in AWS, Azure, or GCP - Troubleshoot network issues: TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers - Configure and validate identity paths: RBAC, SSO (OAuth, SAML), Active Directory, LDAP - Collaborate cross-functionally with CS, Engineering, Product, and Sales to unblock implementation issues - Mentor junior engineers on deployment patterns - Create reusable assets and playbooks to improve future onboarding efficiency This is a self-directed role requiring the ability to juggle multiple enterprise engagements with minimal supervision and deliver customer value on a fixed timeline. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience - 5+ years in technical support, systems administration, cloud operations, implementation, or similar enterprise role, ideally supporting large-scale or Fortune 500 deployments - Background in cybersecurity: threat detection, vulnerability management, encryption standards, compliance frameworks (SOC 2, GDPR) - Strong Linux administration in production environments - Hands-on Docker and containerization experience, including Kubernetes or similar orchestration - Solid working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) - In-depth networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, Wireshark, tcpdump - Basic scripting in Bash, Python, or PowerShell - Demonstrated self-learning through labs, certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Linux+, or equivalent), personal projects, or open-source work - Experience comparable to junior cloud administrator in enterprise settings: multi-tenant environments, resource allocation, compliance - Familiarity with identity management: RBAC, SSO, directory services - Basic database literacy: relational vs. schemaless stores, schema, querying, light administration - Ability to run customer-facing technical engagements to a 30-day finish line with minimal supervision PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Proven experience integrating and troubleshooting APIs (REST services, authentication, API-driven automations) - Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog - Basic experience with managed databases (Amazon RDS) - Broader coding ability in Python, JavaScript, or Go - Prior onboarding, professional services, or TAM work with defined time-to-go-live - Experience creating reusable assets: validation scripts, Terraform modules, Datadog dashboards, customer-ready runbooks
