Salary: USD 125,000 - 180,000 / annual
True Anomaly is a defense and aerospace company building autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors to secure the space environment and counter threats. The Senior COMSEC Manager will oversee the company's Communications Security (COMSEC) program, ensuring strict compliance with NSA, DoD, CNSSI, and Federal regulations.
Reporting to the Vice President of Facilities and Government Security, you will be based onsite at the Gravity Works office in Centennial, CO. Your core responsibilities include:
• Manage and administer True Anomaly's COMSEC program in compliance with NSA, DOD 5220.22-M, CNSSI 4000 series, and NISPOM requirements.
• Serve as COMSEC Custodian, responsible for secure receipt, control, storage, distribution, and destruction of COMSEC-keying material and equipment.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for COMSEC handling, incident response, reporting, and audits.
• Conduct internal self-inspections, prepare for government audits, and ensure timely resolution of corrective actions.
• Manage vendor relationships and communicate with stakeholders on COMSEC matters.
This is a hands-on compliance and security role critical to maintaining the company's government contracts and security posture in the defense space sector.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years of COMSEC experience in aerospace, defense, or government environments
• Completion of NSA COMSEC Custodian training or equivalent
• Strong experience in vendor management and stakeholder communication
• Demonstrated experience with COMSEC equipment (e.g., KG-175, KIV devices, key loaders)
• U.S. Citizen with current DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance
• Must be eligible to comply with ITAR and U.S. Government space technology export regulations
PREFERRED:
• Ability to maintain or obtain TS/SCI clearance
