The company combines human-led instruction with AI-enhanced learning experiences. As a Senior Computational Linguist, you will bridge linguistics and AI to build and evaluate language-learning solutions. You'll formalise linguistic phenomena into rules, taxonomies, and annotation criteria; design and refine prompts and AI components for language-learning use cases; build representative datasets for training, calibration, and evaluation with robust quality-control processes; and evaluate model behaviour using both qualitative and quantitative methods to identify and validate fixes across prompts, models, data, and downstream processing. You'll use Python to process linguistic data and automate evaluation workflows. Collaboration is central: you'll work with engineers, product managers, learning designers, and fellow computational linguists to develop reusable solutions and practices that scale across languages and use cases. You'll stay current with advances in NLP and LLM research. The role offers exposure to real-world language-learning challenges at global scale, the opportunity to shape AI-driven education, and a chance to work on problems that directly impact millions of learners and tutors worldwide. REQUIREMENTS: - 2–3 years of experience in Computational Linguistics, NLP, or related role - Hands-on experience with LLMs, including prompt design, evaluation, and model behaviour analysis - Proficiency in Python for data processing, evaluation, and automation - Strong understanding of datasets, annotation workflows, evaluation methods, and quality assurance for AI systems - AI-native mindset: comfortable using AI tools for problem-solving, analysis, and workflow automation - Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis skills for evaluating linguistic data, model behaviour, and system quality - Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams - Degree in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, NLP, Language Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience - Excellent command of English (spoken and written) with strong linguistic precision
