Adyen is a global payments and financial technology platform serving enterprise clients like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. We are seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to join our Payments Compliance team, focusing on brand-integrity programs and governance. In this role, you will serve as an individual contributor leading program management activities across the Brand Integrity pillar. You will coordinate network program tracking, escalations, remediation follow-up, and stakeholder coordination across card-network and alternative payment method integrity programs. Your responsibilities include managing program plans, trackers, decision logs, and governance routines; triaging merchant, partner, and network-related issues requiring brand-integrity review; and partnering with Risk, Legal, Commercial, Partnerships, and regional teams to ensure alignment between merchant-facing processes and internal governance. You will maintain documentation, playbooks, and training materials for brand-integrity topics and program requirements. You will track outstanding remediation items, deadlines, and dependencies to ensure controlled program progression. A key focus area is supporting reviews of higher-risk merchant verticals, including payment facilitators and marketplaces that may create elevated brand, scheme, or reputational risk. You will identify repeat issues, process gaps, and control weaknesses, driving durable improvements with the broader team. You will prepare leadership updates and materials for governance forums and external discussions, and help standardize brand-integrity work globally to improve consistency and transparency. This role operates at the intersection of Payments Compliance, Risk, Commercial, Partnerships, Legal, and Operations, requiring you to drive progress without direct authority across global teams and time zones. REQUIREMENTS: - Approximately 5+ years of experience in program management, compliance, risk, operations, merchant oversight, or similarly cross-functional roles, preferably in payments, fintech, financial services, or another regulated environment - Familiarity with card-network compliance, merchant risk, high-risk verticals, or brand-integrity programs (required) - Comfortable working across global teams and time zones; able to drive progress without direct authority - Demonstrated ability to build structure in ambiguous environments and maintain momentum on open-ended programs - Experience with merchant models such as payment facilitators or marketplaces (preferred) - Exposure to program trackers, governance routines, documentation workflows, or compliance operations (preferred) - Practical, solution-oriented mindset with a bias toward follow-through and execution quality
