Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Imaging team develops state-of-the-art imaging systems combining hardware and software to address critical security challenges, leveraging computer vision, perception, electro-optical, infrared, and sensor fusion technologies.
As Senior Commodity Engineer, Electronics, you will drive strategic supply network development and cost management of Anduril Imaging's electronics across their product lifecycles. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams, and work directly with suppliers to ensure scalability and reliability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing electrical BOMs, component risk assessments, and alternate sourcing paths across multiple product lines
- Identifying and mitigating supply-chain lead-time and sourcing risks, particularly for PCBA components
- Ensuring electronics sourcing strategy scales as product lines move to full production
- Conducting supplier selection and managing/expanding the approved supplier list
- Resolving technical inquiries with suppliers in collaboration with design engineering
- Ensuring AS9100 compliance for all production electronics builds
- Coordinating with manufacturing on technical data package release and transmission via PLM/ERP systems
- Streamlining PCBA procurement processes in coordination with Anduril HQ's commodity team
Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field; 8+ years in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement/development, or electronics design; domain expertise in value/procurement engineering at component and product level; ability to travel 10-25% for vendor visits; ability to obtain and maintain U.S. secret clearance.
Preferred: Master's degree; PCBA sourcing and fabrication/assembly process experience; familiarity with IPC and J-STD quality standards; experience in high-tech rapid low-rate production environments; startup experience.
