You will join as a Senior Clinical Research Associate based in Serbia, monitoring clinical trial sites in Bulgaria. This is a permanent, fully remote position. In this role, you will monitor and own the progress of clinical studies at investigative sites, ensuring studies are conducted, recorded, and reported in accordance with protocol, SOPs, ICH-GCP guidelines, and all applicable regulations. You will coordinate all necessary activities to set up and monitor studies, including identifying investigators, preparing regulatory submissions, conducting pre-study and initiation visits, and managing site relationships.
As a Senior CRA, you will handle appropriately sized clinical trials independently and support Project Managers on larger-scope trials. You will have the opportunity to train and mentor junior staff members. You will also interact directly with clients, initiate payments, and participate in proposal activities including development and client presentations. The role involves approximately 50-60% domestic travel (within the region) with occasional international travel for senior-level positions.
You bring 3+ years of CRA experience within a CRO or pharmaceutical industry setting, with demonstrated expertise in biopharma or relevant therapeutics areas. You hold a 4-year college degree (or equivalent) and are fluent in Serbian, English, and Bulgarian—Bulgarian language proficiency is essential for monitoring Bulgarian sites. You are calm, detail-oriented, proactive in identifying and mitigating study risks, and skilled at conflict resolution. Preferred qualifications include a graduate/postgraduate degree in a scientific or healthcare discipline, experience with study start-up activities, Phase I trial experience, and financial management understanding.
