The company has proven core technology, is scaling production of its flagship model, and is now extending its platform to commercial applications including tugs, ferries, and defense with signed contracts. As Senior CAD Designer, you will own the CAD backbone of Arc's vessels. You'll be responsible for producing production-intent CAD for hull structures, mechanical systems, and powertrain integration; releasing fully dimensioned drawing packages to manufacturing and suppliers; and setting the CAD standards that keep a fast-growing engineering team aligned on a single source of truth. The role requires someone who can work with incomplete requirements and fast-changing designs while communicating clearly with engineers, technicians, and suppliers. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field - 5+ years of mechanical design and drafting with a track record of releasing drawings to production - Expert-level CAD proficiency in NX, including sheet metal, weldments, Class A surfacing, and large-assembly management - Demonstrated Teamcenter administration experience, including workflow creation, troubleshooting, and training - Strong command of GD&T per ASME Y14.5, with experience releasing parts to vendors across machining, fabrication, composites, or molding - Ability to thrive with incomplete requirements and fast-changing designs - Clear communication with engineers, technicians, and suppliers BONUS QUALIFICATIONS: - Marine hardware experience (automotive, aerospace, or EV also relevant) - Background in composite structures or large weldment design - Experience with high-voltage packaging, wire harness, or fluid routing - Experience partnering with industrial designers to turn sketches into Class A surfaces - Building CAD standards and PDM structure from scratch at an early-stage company - Comfortable pushing a fast but sustainable pace - Enthusiasm for boating and clean energy
