Salary: USD 129,000 - 171,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Buyer to join the Commercial Procurement team in Costa Mesa, California. This role supports procurement activities for key defense programs, manages supplier relationships, and ensures on-time delivery of critical materials and services.
Key responsibilities include creating and managing purchase orders to meet production and program needs, maintaining relationships with suppliers while monitoring performance on quality, delivery, and pricing metrics, and quickly resolving supply chain disruptions and delivery delays. You will track and expedite orders to meet deadlines and production schedules, collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to align procurement with company goals, and maintain accurate records while tracking procurement KPIs to identify process improvements.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or a related field with 5+ years of supply chain experience including technical procurement. You must be able to read technical drawings and blueprints and be willing to relocate to Costa Mesa if not already local. Preferred qualifications include strong organizational and time-management skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, proficiency in Excel, experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), and an analytical mindset with attention to detail.
