CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Buyer to join its growing supply chain team in Westminster, Colorado. The company develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms.
In this role, you will develop and execute multi-year, cross-functional supply chain strategies in collaboration with product line leaders, material managers, engineers, operations, and quality teams. Your primary responsibilities include:
• Minimize total landed cost (material, freight, duties, inventory) through strategic supply base management and vendor negotiations
• Manage PCB procurement, including vendor communication, file uploads, and technical discussions
• Oversee chemicals and consumables procurement with attention to proper inventory levels and expiration management
• Facilitate cross-functional communications to drive optimized sourcing strategies supporting new product development programs
• Support the company's satellite communications equipment product line through strategic purchasing initiatives
You will work in a dynamic, hands-on startup environment where cross-functional collaboration is essential. The role requires someone who is passionate about supporting new product development and manufacturing in the space technology sector.
