Bitpanda, a Vienna-based fintech platform serving 7+ million customers across Europe, is seeking a Senior Atlassian Cloud Engineer to drive enterprise-scale technical strategy and governance for their Jira and Atlassian ecosystem.
In this role, you will architect and optimize Atlassian Cloud products at enterprise scale, establishing standardized configurations, governance models, and best practices to support fast-moving business needs. You'll act as a subject matter expert, translating complex cross-functional requirements into scalable technical solutions. Key responsibilities include designing advanced Jira reports and dashboards for leadership, building automations and integrations using REST APIs and third-party apps (Assets, JMWE, ScriptRunner, EazyBI, Xray), and mentoring junior engineers to elevate team capability.
You bring 3+ years of hands-on experience administering and scaling Atlassian Cloud systems in large, dynamic enterprise or scale-up environments, plus several years as a Business IT Engineer. You're a technical problem-solver with expertise in advanced automation, REST APIs, and scripting (Groovy, JavaScript, Python). You excel at stakeholder management, consulting with internal users daily, pushing back on anti-patterns, and steering teams toward sustainable practices.
