Salary: USD 174,500 - 240,000 / annual
Faire is a technology wholesale platform connecting independent retailers globally with suppliers. This role is a Senior Finance Analytics Engineer responsible for building and maintaining systems, pipelines, and data models that enable financial performance understanding and business insights across the organization.
You will scope, design, build, and maintain complex ETL/ELT pipelines that aggregate key business performance metrics and financial reporting using engineering best practices. You'll act as a trusted analytical and technical partner to Accounting and Finance teams, gathering requirements and enabling data-driven decision-making by ensuring core ledgers accurately reflect business changes.
Collaboration is central: you'll work closely with Engineering and Data Infrastructure to manage and improve data integrations (Fivetran connectors, S3 pipelines, etc.) and ensure organizational alignment. You'll implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and testing for data workflows to ensure high data quality and reliability, championing CI/CD and engineering best practices within the team's pipelines.
As a senior member of a growing team, you'll lead initiatives to drive data strategy, roadmap planning, and prioritization aligned with business objectives. You'll act as a thought leader expanding the team's influence throughout Finance and the broader organization. Additionally, you'll drive workflow automation and innovation across Finance, identifying and implementing Gen-AI–enabled productivity solutions to modernize processes and increase team leverage.
The role is hybrid, requiring in-office attendance 3 days per week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a flex day), with flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks annually.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have:
- 5+ years of work experience in Analytics Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or comparable function
- Expert-level SQL proficiency with focus on data modeling, large-scale data processing, and tool development for analytics or financial use cases
- Proven ability to design and maintain production-grade ETL/ELT workflows, including experience with analytics workflow tools (Airflow, Docker, dbt), data warehousing (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, S3), and data visualization tools (Mode, Tableau, Looker)
- Working proficiency in Python or similar language for pipeline development, automation, and tooling
- Comfortable with CI/CD practices and version control (Git) for production data pipelines, including command-line tooling for workflow automation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with both technical and business partners
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Faire's data stack and systems, and experience with marketplace or transactional business models
- Experience with monitoring and alerting systems for data pipelines
- Finance or accounting experience, or experience supporting Finance/Accounting teams and building pipelines behind financial reporting
- Experience supporting SOX compliance requirements (controls, audit trails, change management) in data or finance systems context
- BA/BS degree in computer science, math, or another quantitative field
- Passion for Generative AI's potential to improve team leverage and productivity
