Jazz is a cybersecurity startup building next-generation data loss prevention for the AI era. The company combines a forensic endpoint agent with an agentic investigator to detect and contextualize data risk.
You will build Jazz's data platform from the ground up, owning the complete stack: ingestion, modeling, warehouse, orchestration, and cost control. This is a foundational role where you architect the systems that power the company's decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement databases, ELT/ETL pipelines, and orchestration using a medallion architecture that scales safely as the company grows.
- Own the gold layer as the single source of truth—modeled, tested, documented, and trusted by the entire organization.
- Partner with executives, R&D, and sales to define organizational KPIs, instrument them, and maintain metric integrity as the business evolves.
- Build executive dashboards that distill complex, multi-source data into clear, actionable insights for C-level decision-makers.
- Serve all BI consumers across the organization: GTM and sales (pipeline, funnel, forecast, Salesforce), R&D (delivery, quality, product usage), Finance, and Operations.
- Operate the platform reliably at scale, including monitoring, alerting, data quality checks, and active cost optimization.
- Establish data standards: modeling conventions, testing practices, documentation, access control, and BI request intake processes.
- Drive cross-functional alignment on metric definitions and resolve stakeholder disagreements through clear communication and persuasion.
- Leverage AI as a multiplier in your work—building, modeling, investigating, and enabling others.
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years in BI, analytics engineering, or data engineering, with at least one role building a data stack from scratch and scaling it alongside company growth.
- Experience at companies with large, complex data volumes.
- Expert-level SQL and Python; hands-on production Spark experience.
- Proven design and implementation of medallion-architecture warehouses where you shaped the layers, not just wrote models within an existing design.
- Production experience with DBT and Databricks (or equivalent lakehouse + transformation framework).
- Track record of building dashboards used by C-level stakeholders; ability to point to specific executive views that influenced decisions.
- Experience defining organizational metrics and securing cross-functional agreement.
- Hands-on Salesforce data modeling—understanding the object model, quirks, and reliable transformation patterns.
- Ownership of production data infrastructure at scale, including cost monitoring and optimization.
- Strong presentation and communication skills; ability to lead executive discussions, drive decisions, and bridge disagreements.
- Fluent in English and Hebrew.
Why this role stands out: You are the architect, not the maintainer. There is no legacy warehouse to inherit; the decisions you make in the first six months define Jazz's data culture. Real data volume from day one—a forensic endpoint agent across enterprise fleets generates serious telemetry. Your dashboards will be the ones the exec team opens Monday morning. The company is AI-native; heavy AI use is expected, not tolerated. Jazz raised $61M from Glilot and Team8, exited stealth in March 2026, and was founded by Unit 81 veterans with proven track records scaling security products. Early enough for real ownership, funded enough for runway.
