Archy is a Series C vertical SaaS platform revolutionizing dental practice management. The company provides AI-powered agents and software that enable dental providers to focus on clinical work while Archy handles the technical and operational sides of running a practice.
As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will own end-to-end delivery of major product updates, managing the full release lifecycle to ensure high-impact features deploy reliably and maintain peak production performance. You'll work primarily with Java Spring Boot, collaborating closely with frontend teams (React/TypeScript) to ensure seamless integration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking full accountability for major product feature delivery and release management
- Leveraging AI tools (e.g., Claude) to accelerate development while maintaining architectural ownership and code quality
- Collaborating with product teams to integrate and improve AI capabilities within the platform
- Partnering with frontend engineers on backend-frontend integration
- Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback
- Identifying and implementing team efficiency improvements
- Estimating and planning development efforts for timely, high-quality delivery
You will be an expert executor who ensures technical integrity of systems while mentoring others. The role emphasizes stability, scalability, and a customer-centric mindset—understanding that dental practices depend on the platform to run their businesses smoothly.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
- 6+ years of backend engineering experience with strong emphasis on clean, quality code
- Strong English communication skills (B2 level or higher)
- Hands-on experience with Java Spring Boot or similar frameworks
- Experience with Snowflake or enterprise cloud data warehouses for large-scale data management and querying
- Proven track record owning successful release of high-traffic features or major platform migrations
- Deep understanding of using AI tools as a co-pilot without sacrificing code quality or problem-solving depth
- Strong focus on testing, stability, and performance
- Customer-centric mindset and strong collaboration skills with openness to feedback
