Join inDrive's Storefront Team to build the core backend infrastructure powering a marketplace grocery experience. You'll develop scalable backend services handling catalog management, search, product details, cart, and checkout flows across multiple grocery partners. The role involves working with large, location-dependent product catalogs, managing frequently changing prices, inventory, discounts, and availability in real time. You'll validate carts before checkout (prices, availability, quantity limits, minimum order values, store restrictions), support grocery-specific scenarios (weighted products, unavailable items, substitutions), and integrate with catalog, pricing, inventory, order, payment, and delivery services. A key responsibility is onboarding grocery partners with different APIs and data models while ensuring low latency, high availability, and resilience across all customer-facing flows.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Mandatory: proven experience in the grocery industry
- 5+ years of commercial backend engineering, with experience solving complex problems in high-load environments
- Strong knowledge of Go programming language, including advanced features applied in practice
- Strong SQL knowledge: schema design, scaling strategies (replication, partitioning, sharding), query optimization for high-load environments
- In-depth knowledge of Redis, including various data structures and efficient use in high-load systems
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes (or analogs), and cloud infrastructure (AWS)
- Experience with synchronous and asynchronous inter-service communication patterns, with focus on reliability in high-load environments
- Knowledge of microservice architecture patterns and deep understanding of efficient client-server interactions and their limitations
- Proven ability to design and implement full observability strategy (metrics, logging, dashboards, tracing)
- Interest in new technologies, collaborative spirit, and drive to continuously develop skills
