Ramp is building smart infrastructure for finance teams, automating how over $275B in annualized spend flows through 85,000+ companies. The company handles payment authorization, risk flagging, spend categorization, and book closing at scale.
The Accounting team builds systems that carry accounting context across Ramp's products, helping customers categorize and reconcile activity while keeping records in sync. This role is a Senior Backend Engineer focused on building reliable, accurate accounting workflows.
You will design and build backend services, APIs, and data models supporting accounting workflows across Ramp's products. This is an individual contributor role with significant scope and influence. You will work on complex, high-stakes problems where data accuracy and system reliability directly impact customer success.

- Clear communication and collaborative approach to technical decisions and feedback
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience with accounting, payments, spend management, or other financial data products
- Familiarity with accounting concepts such as coding, reconciliation, or the general ledger
- Experience building integrations or data workflows that keep information consistent across systems
