Salary: GBP 108,700 - 130,000 / annual
Monzo is seeking a Senior Audit Transformation Lead to reinvent Internal Audit and drive transformation across the function. This is a highly cross-functional individual contributor role that sits at the intersection of assurance, data, and product design, offering a holistic view of Monzo's global operations.
You will translate Internal Audit's strategy into a concrete product roadmap with measurable business and risk outcomes. Key responsibilities include championing a product owner mindset across the Internal Audit function, modernizing the function by embedding technology, and coaching the team to adopt new ways of working. You'll work closely with senior leadership including the Senior Audit Innovation and Enablement Lead and Head of Professional Practices to identify innovation opportunities.
You'll build collaborative relationships with stakeholders outside Internal Audit, such as Risk and Compliance, and drive communications to maximize the value of Internal Audit products and insights. Additionally, you'll influence cross-functional initiatives and position Monzo as a leading benchmark for technology-led assurance by building strategic partnerships with regulatory bodies, industry forums, and academia.
The ideal candidate is energized by translating abstract frameworks into concrete outcomes and can influence senior stakeholders and technical leads without direct line management authority. You should think like a product owner with a track record of leading agile, digital, or operational transformations in fast-moving environments. Experience managing product roadmaps, driving end-user adoption, and working in environments with developing risk and control frameworks is essential. You can communicate data and engineering concepts to non-technical audiences and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
