Glow25 is a fast-growing beauty and pro-aging company headquartered in Berlin, scaling across multiple marketplaces (Amazon, Zalando, DM) and international markets. We are building a modern Accounts Receivable and Finance function to support this complexity.
You will lead the redesign and optimization of the Order-to-Cash process, driving automation and process excellence across marketplace settlements, cash application, bank reconciliation, and international tax reporting (OSS, USt-VA, Zusammenfassungsmeldung). This is both a strategic process-building role and a hands-on operational leadership position.
Key Responsibilities:
Process & Scaling:
- Develop and advance the accounting system landscape, driving automation across the entire Order-to-Cash process from marketplace settlement through posting.
- Structure and consolidate international tax reporting (OSS, VAT pre-filing, summary reporting) into a unified, tool-supported process across all countries.
- Optimize cash application and bank reconciliation across all payment service providers (PayPal, Stripe, Amazon Payments, etc.).
- Prepare processes for new countries and sales channels; build DSO and revenue reporting to measure A/R performance.
Technical Leadership:
- Serve as escalation point for complex cases: disputed invoices, marketplace clarifications, compliance edge cases.
- Ensure quality of postings and filings through sampling and clear standards.
- Transfer process knowledge to the team and establish reliable coverage/backup procedures.
Operational:
- Coordinate and own the A/R component of monthly close, ensuring reliable and fast closure.
- Systematically identify and post month-end provisions.
- Provide technical input when new sales channels or countries are onboarded.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years accounting experience with clear focus on Accounts Receivable or receivables management.
- E-commerce/marketplace/multichannel industry knowledge: deep understanding of Amazon, Zalando, and similar platforms—fee structures, settlements, chargebacks, returns.
- Strong expertise in international VAT reporting: OSS (One-Stop-Shop), VAT pre-filing (USt-VA), summary reporting (Zusammenfassungsmeldung) as daily business.
- System competency: DATEV, SAP, NetSuite, or comparable ERP/accounting systems; experience with e-commerce accounting tools (Shopify, WooCommerce integrations, marketplace APIs) is a plus.
- Proven track record building and automating finance processes—systems thinking, not case-by-case problem solving.
- Technical leadership capability: knowledge transfer, quality assurance, composure in escalations, team development.
- German language (C1 level) and strong English; comfortable with local and international requirements.
