You will join the established UK Engineering team as a Senior Analytics Engineer, reporting to an Engineering Manager. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining analytical data models within the data warehouse, collaborating closely with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and Software Engineers to deliver valuable insights to customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality datasets for engineers to build robust customer-facing reporting
- Lead initiatives on data quality, observability, and model optimization
- Collaborate with engineers to assess and mitigate the impact of upstream product changes
- Apply domain knowledge to develop semantic layers for business intelligence
- Mentor junior engineers, teaching them the SDLC process and engineering best practices
- Work cross-functionally across multiple teams in situations of ambiguity with high-level direction

Requirements:
- Proficiency in transforming, testing, and documenting data while maintaining robust data lineage
- Knowledge of data modeling, data access, and data storage techniques
- Experience following software engineering best practices including version control and continuous integration
- Strong proficiency with SQL in cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred) including performance optimization, data partitioning, and window functions
- Ability to operate effectively and autonomously across multiple teams in ambiguous situations
- Experience with dbt for data transformation layer
- Experience with BI tooling such as Power BI or Looker
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus
