The Senior Product Agilist owns the delivery and transformation system for a Product Group, managing multiple Agile Teams and Team Agilists to ensure predictable execution, system transparency, and continuous advancement of organizational maturity. This is a people-management role reporting to the Lead Agilist.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establish and operate Product Group planning and execution cadence (PI Planning, Release Management, Work Intake, Inspect & Adapt)
- Lead transformation and execution across a team-of-teams structure
- Cultivate high-performing, cross-functional teams through coaching and mentoring
- Support alignment across multiple Agile Teams by making dependencies visible and escalating systemic impediments
- Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering Managers on clarity, planning, and risk mitigation
- Serve as a member of the Product Group Leadership Team
- Coach Team Agilists and Product Leaders in Agile practices and roadmapping
- Maintain transparent execution tracking (readiness, progress, predictability, risks)
- Lead and develop Team Agilists within the Product Group
- Participate in the Agilists Community of Practice to drive continuous improvement
Required qualifications: 10+ years Agile leadership experience with at least 1 year managing a team-of-teams or agile program; proven success aligning multiple teams; mastery of Scrum, Kanban, XP, and scaling frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus); demonstrated ability to identify and resolve systemic impediments; skilled in facilitation, servant leadership, and conflict resolution; experience in product development and technology-driven environments; proficiency with Agile metrics; experience coaching senior leaders and leading multi-team change initiatives.
Preferred: fintech, SaaS, or fast-paced tech industry experience; familiarity with lean portfolio management and product governance.
