The Senior Agilist for the Product Group (Banking Foundation) owns the delivery and transformation system for a product group, ensuring predictable execution across multiple Agile teams. This role manages Team Agilists within the product group, ensuring consistent execution discipline, system transparency, and continuous advancement of organizational maturity.
Key responsibilities include establishing and operating product group planning and execution cadence (PI Planning, Release Management, Work Intake governance, Inspect & Adapt); leading transformation and execution across a team of teams; cultivating high-performing cross-functional teams through coaching and mentoring; supporting alignment across multiple Agile teams by making dependencies visible and escalating systemic impediments; partnering with Product, Design, and Engineering Managers on clarity, planning, and risk mitigation; serving as a member of the Product Group Leadership Team; coaching Team Agilists and Product Leaders in Agile practices; maintaining transparent execution visibility through delivery metrics and risk tracking; and actively participating in the Agilists Community of Practice to share learnings and drive continuous improvement.
Required qualifications include 10+ years of Agile leadership experience with at least 1 year managing a team-of-teams or agile program; proven success facilitating and aligning multiple teams; mastery of Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, XP); operational knowledge of scaling frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus); demonstrated ability to identify and resolve systemic impediments; skilled facilitation, servant leadership, and conflict resolution; experience in product development; and experience working with Product and Engineering Managers in technology-driven environments. Preferred qualifications include fintech or SaaS experience, familiarity with lean portfolio management, and experience coaching senior leaders through multi-team change initiatives.
