The Solutions Engineering team is the technical heart of go-to-market, responsible for the technical win across complex sales opportunities. As a Senior Actuarial Solutions Engineer, you will own the technical sales motion for high-stakes opportunities, driving success from discovery through proof of value and technical evaluation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own technical sales for complex opportunities, leveraging AI-assisted processes across discovery, demos, POVs, and technical evaluations
- Design and deliver high-impact, persona-led demos for actuaries, underwriters, IT leaders, and executives, showcasing both platform capabilities and emerging possibilities
- Run technically ambitious proofs of value, innovating at the edge of platform capabilities to address novel customer use cases
- Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales process, contributing to RFPs/RFIs and handling deep technical questions and objections
- Rapidly build expertise in the Renew platform, Python-based workflows, insurance pricing, and AI use cases to become a credible technical authority with customers and internal teams
- Feed real-world customer insights back to Product and Engineering to shape future platform capabilities
You will be one of the first company representatives prospects meet, working on the hardest and most interesting problems the company encounters. Every engagement is high-stakes and visible. You'll help customers reimagine pricing and underwriting workflows, turning bold ideas and legacy system realities into practical, production-ready solutions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Extensive experience coding in Python (required)
- Background as an Actuary, Underwriter, or Technical Broker (required)
- Exposure to technical, customer-facing work within B2B SaaS, technology, or data-driven environments (internships, placements, graduate roles, or early-career positions acceptable)
- Experience supporting or observing multi-stakeholder conversations where technical considerations needed explanation and adaptation for different audiences
- Demonstrated ability to build, adapt, or explain technical artifacts (demos, scripts, prototypes, analyses, workflows) in a sales context
- Evidence of earning trust through clear communication, curiosity, and follow-through with customers, internal stakeholders, or project partners
- Strong sense of ownership and collaboration, with examples of working across technical and non-technical functions
