Salary: USD 110,000 - 135,000 / annual
StubHub, the world's leading marketplace for buying and selling live event tickets, is seeking a Senior Accountant to help scale the accounting function for FinTech-related activity. This is a hybrid role based in New York (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) reporting to the Finance team.
You will prepare month-end journal entries, supporting schedules, and reconciliations for Revenue, AR, and Payable accounts. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, FinTech, and other departments to support business needs. Key responsibilities include assisting with statutory audits, quarterly reviews, and annual audits performed by external auditors, as well as working with large datasets using advanced analytic tools like Power Query. You'll also support ad-hoc projects as needed.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and has a strong aptitude for identifying and implementing process improvements. You'll have autonomy to lead experiments and tests at scale while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field
- 2+ years of audit experience with a public accounting firm
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to manipulate large datasets (Xlookups, Pivot tables, Power Query, etc.)
- Strong aptitude for identifying and implementing process improvements
- Highly adaptable and able to work in fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail
- Exceptional organization and prioritization skills with ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
- Ability to adapt quickly and operate effectively in high-intensity, rapidly evolving environment with desire to learn new business areas
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
GREAT TO HAVE:
- Big 4 or other relevant public accounting experience
- Mix of public and private sector experience
- NetSuite experience
- Basic SQL proficiency
- FinTech industry experience and familiarity with Payment Service Providers (PSPs)
