Commvault is seeking a Security Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of enterprise security initiatives across multiple functions including SOC, Security Engineering, Cloud Security, Application Security, IAM, and Vulnerability Management.
In this role, you will manage technical security projects from conception through delivery, ensuring alignment with business priorities and risk objectives. You'll collaborate closely with IT, Compliance, Product Engineering, and other internal teams to properly scope and execute security requirements. Key responsibilities include maintaining stakeholder communication through regular project updates, risk reporting, and status dashboards; proactively identifying and removing blockers; managing dependencies; and mitigating project risks.
You will define and track KPIs to measure project and program effectiveness, ensure compliance with relevant security and privacy standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, OWASP, NIST), and support budget planning and resource allocation for ongoing and upcoming initiatives.
Required qualifications include 5+ years of project management experience with a focus on technology or cybersecurity projects, strong understanding of enterprise security concepts, direct experience with project management tools (Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, Confluence), working knowledge of agile methodologies, familiarity with ServiceNow tools and processes, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred qualifications include project management certification such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or CSM.
