Rhymetec, founded in 2015 and headquartered in New York City, helps organizations achieve compliance faster by building effective cybersecurity and data privacy programs. As Security Program Manager, you will lead technical cybersecurity initiatives from scoping through delivery at scale for our clients.
You will manage a small team of Security Analysts and be responsible for building comprehensive information security programs. This includes conducting gap assessments against cybersecurity frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI, etc.), performing risk assessments, and developing strategy for creating and enhancing security programs. You will lead project management for clients, create tasks and milestones, and ensure analysts complete work on schedule.
Key responsibilities include achieving and maintaining compliance for client-selected frameworks, participating in and managing external audits on behalf of customers, and providing evidence to CPAs and QSAs. You will monitor and enforce SLAs for customer requests, develop methods for tracking project progress and performance, and analyze results to identify potential issues, risks, and improvements. You will also focus on customer retention and be available for up to 2 weeks of travel annually.
Required qualifications: 4+ years in cybersecurity and GRC, 2+ years of program management experience, demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced multi-program environments, experience managing waterfall/hybrid/agile teams, strong leadership and influence skills, proactive problem-solving ability, and understanding of cloud architecture. Preferred: CISSP, CISM, or CRISC certification; PMP certification.
