The Directed Content Team generates thousands of high-value expert call transcripts quarterly, ensuring comprehensive sector coverage in AlphaSense's Expert Transcript Library. As Sector Lead for Energy & Industrials, you will oversee day-to-day execution of directed content projects across EMEA and APAC regions, managing a team of Project Managers and ensuring all work meets the firm's standards for quality, relevance, and end-user value.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with the Director of Research to develop and execute a strategic sector roadmap aligned with market and client priorities
- Managing and mentoring a team of Project Managers, setting clear goals, tracking KPIs, and ensuring accountability
- Collaborating with Operations Managers to align operational execution (expert recruiting, onboarding, facilitation) with coverage strategy
- Owning expert budget management for your sector, allocating resources to maximize content ROI
- Overseeing structured QA processes to ensure transcripts meet standards for accuracy, relevance, structure, and analytical depth
- Monitoring engagement data and coverage gaps, recalibrating project pipelines accordingly
- Supporting revenue-generating initiatives such as white papers, webinars, and presentations
- Establishing feedback loops with call takers and project teams to enhance content quality
- Collaborating with North America directed content teams to ensure consistency and quality
- Partnering with Operations and Product teams to pilot and optimize AI-enabled tools
- Maintaining deep familiarity with Energy & Industrials sector developments and proactively surfacing new themes
You will serve as the connective layer between strategic vision and day-to-day execution, combining operational rigor with sector expertise.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5–7 years of experience in equity research, market intelligence, consulting, or related analytical role within Energy & Industrials
- Deep domain expertise in Energy & Industrials with strong grasp of key players, business models, and industry trends
- Strong understanding of European and Asian equity markets
- Proven people management experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams of project managers or analysts
- Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable research projects yielding high-impact insights
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills; ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining quality
- Strong command of project economics, budget management, expert cost optimization, and ROI tracking
- Cross-functional collaboration skills with Directors of Research, Go-to-Market, Product, and Compliance
- Intellectual curiosity, client orientation, and comfort in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Strong understanding of compliance, MNPI, and confidentiality standards
