Volta is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform preparing for US public listing as a foreign private issuer following Series A funding led by Andreessen Horowitz and Altimeter. The company is building AI-ready data centre infrastructure across the UK, Norway, Germany, Spain and the US, with 100+ employees across London, Palo Alto, and New York. As SEC Reporting Manager, you will build and run the external reporting process from scratch—a defining project over the next 12–16 months. This is a build role, not a maintain role. You will create the reporting calendar, disclosure checklists, and tie-out packs from scratch and see them through a first-year Big Four audit into a live registration statement. Key responsibilities: - Prepare US GAAP consolidated financial statements, including full footnote disclosures, for audit and SEC filing - Build and maintain the disclosure checklist and reporting calendar across annual and interim cycles - Draft SEC-standard disclosures (F-1/20-F sections, MD&A support) working with the Director of Technical Accounting and VP of Accounting - Own the tie-out process: every number in the statements agreed to support, referenced and reviewable - Manage consolidation and FX translation (ASC 830) mechanics feeding the statements - Coordinate audit deliverables and respond to auditor requests through fieldwork and completion - Prepare statutory bridge outputs for UK filing requirements alongside US GAAP statements - Implement reporting tools (disclosure management/XBRL readiness) as the function matures - Support quarterly reporting design ahead of public-company cadence Requirements: - Qualified accountant (ACA/CPA or equivalent) with 5+ years' experience including financial statement preparation under US GAAP - Hands-on experience drafting or auditing SEC filings (10-K, 20-F, F-1/S-1) as registrant or Big Four - Strong command of US GAAP disclosure requirements and consolidation, including foreign currency translation - Meticulous tie-out and documentation discipline - Experience working with external auditors through year-end reporting cycles - Ability to build processes from scratch rather than operate established ones - IPO-readiness, foreign private issuer or first-time-adoption experience an advantage - Comfort with deadline pressure and shifting priorities in a pre-IPO environment
