Orchard Robotics is building AI-powered systems to automate farming and secure America's food supply. The company uses camera systems mounted on tractors to capture precise crop data, train edge vision AI models, and deliver intelligence through FruitScope OS, a farm-management platform. Backed by $25M+ from leading investors including Quiet Capital, Shine Capital, and General Catalyst, Orchard is trusted by some of the nation's largest farms.
As Orchard's first Sales Operations Engineer, you will build the operating system that enables the rapidly scaling sales organization to operate more effectively. This hybrid role combines hands-on operations work with software engineering and automation.
Initially, you will own recurring non-selling work that slows down account executives: account research, CRM administration, proposal coordination, internal coordination, and sales event logistics. You will execute this work yourself to deeply understand bottlenecks and pain points. Simultaneously, you will engineer solutions—building internal applications, AI-powered workflows, integrations, and automations that allow this support to scale.
Key responsibilities include: taking work off sellers' plates through account research and CRM administration; developing internal sales tools and AI-powered workflows; turning manual processes into scalable systems; designing and improving sales processes, playbooks, and CRM architecture; coordinating complex deals across Sales, Engineering, Operations, Customer Success, and leadership; planning and executing trade shows, field days, and customer events; and building repeatable systems to support expansion into new crops, customer segments, and geographies.
You should have 3+ years in a high-ownership GTM, sales operations, revenue operations, internal tools, or startup operations role. You must be able to code and be fluent with AI coding tools, capable of independently building useful internal applications and integrations. You understand B2B/enterprise sales dynamics, can identify seller bottlenecks, and have a track record of using software and automation to increase team productivity. You are comfortable with both manual work and engineering solutions, have strong written communication skills, and operate with low ego and high ownership.
