Salary: USD 80,000 - 106,000 / annual

Datadog is seeking a Sales Engineer to join the Customer Success team in Denver. In this hybrid role, you will partner with sales and customer success teams to qualify and close opportunities by providing technical expertise through product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept (POC) support. You will serve as a bridge between customers and Datadog's product team, articulating the company's value proposition and technical strategy throughout the sales cycle. Key responsibilities include delivering value-driven technical presentations to customers, helping clients onboard and troubleshoot the product, and thinking creatively to solve technical challenges. You will also have direct communication with the product team to advocate for customer needs and prioritize feature requests based on customer and competitive feedback. The role requires continuous learning of new technologies to build competitive knowledge and technical credibility. You will work cross-functionally to resolve customer concerns, escalate issues, and serve as a brand ambassador. Travel is expected up to 15% of the time via auto, train, or air, with the ability to sit for up to 4 hours during client visits. Datadog values a hybrid office culture and expects team members to spend time in-person at the Denver office. REQUIREMENTS: - 1+ year of experience in a technical sales and/or post-sales role - Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, modern application architectures, observability, and/or DevOps technologies - Strong written and oral communication skills - Comfortable and confident delivering technical presentations and product demos - Ability to multi-task, manage time well, and be responsive - Curious, adaptable, and eager to continually learn and expand technical expertise - Willing to travel up to 15% of the time - Able to sit for extended periods (up to 4 hours) during client site visits - Enjoys hybrid office culture and in-person collaboration at Denver office
