Salary: EUR 38,000 - 38,500 / annual
Roadsurfer, Europe's largest campervan rental company, is seeking an Operations Manager to lead their Rome station. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for establishing and managing day-to-day operations at the location while collaborating with central departments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Independent leadership and establishment of the Rome location with oversight of daily operations
- Implementation and optimization of existing processes while contributing new ideas for improvement
- Team leadership: recruiting, onboarding, task planning, and quality control for the on-site team
- Fleet management: maintaining oversight of the local vehicle fleet for rental and sales, including documentation, maintenance, cleanliness, and coordination with local service partners
- Process coordination: managing vehicle returns, handovers, and vehicle preparation
- Customer consultation: advising customers on Roadsurfer products (rent, abo, spots, sales) and ensuring positive customer experiences
- Cross-station collaboration: maintaining communication with international teams to drive continuous improvements
Required qualifications:
- Completed training or studies in a relevant field or comparable professional qualification
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in car rental, tourism, or similar industries (career changers welcome)
- Experience leading employees or teams (advantageous)
- Strong service and customer orientation with friendly, open demeanor
- Hands-on, effective communicator and resilient problem solver
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Fluent English and fluent Italian
- Valid Class B driver's license
