Salary: USD 80,000 - 90,000 / annual
Melio is a fast-growing B2B payments platform serving US small businesses. The Risk Operations Specialist role sits within the Risk & Compliance Team, which protects the platform and users from fraudulent, abusive, and prohibited activity while ensuring regulatory compliance.
In this hybrid role (3 days/week in NYC office), you will handle frontline fraud decisioning to support business needs, manage escalations related to risk decisions through cross-functional collaboration, and complete Zendesk tickets and written communications with end users, internal teams, partnerships, and live payment stakeholders. You'll communicate with customers via phone regarding account recovery efforts and contribute to specialized projects while proactively driving new initiatives.
The role requires 1+ years of experience in risk, customer experience, or payment operations (fintech preferred) and 1+ years working with Zendesk. You must be available 9AM–6PM EST, Monday–Friday, and able to attend the office 3 days per week. Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills are essential, along with demonstrated ability to problem-solve and maintain personal and group KPIs related to capacity and quality. Experience on global teams is a bonus.
