CesiumAstro develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. We are seeking a Senior RF Engineer II to join our hardware team and take ownership of RF circuit and systems design across all development phases.
In this role, you will design and develop RF circuits, transceivers, receivers, transmitters, amplifiers, filters, and microwave components for aerospace applications. You will perform RF analyses, circuit simulations, link budget calculations, impedance matching, frequency planning, and performance evaluations. Your responsibilities include reviewing engineering requirements and RF specifications, conducting RF verification and validation activities, and troubleshooting performance issues.
You will analyze RF measurements, simulation data, and laboratory results to identify trends and recommend solutions. You will support root cause investigations, engineering changes, and corrective actions to improve RF performance. Collaboration is essential—you will work closely with RF, antenna, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and systems engineering teams throughout product development.
Your work will span the full product lifecycle: initial concept, requirements definition, part selection, detailed design, analysis, manufacturing, testing, qualification, and in-orbit support. You will develop engineering reports, simulation documentation, RF measurement reports, and engineering change documentation. You will participate in design reviews, engineering investigations, product integration, and qualification activities.
You will also present engineering design review materials to customers and the executive team, and participate in proposal-writing efforts. You will review RF engineering methods, simulation practices, and development processes to identify improvement opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
