Serval is an AI-native automation platform that builds intelligent agents to transform enterprise operations. Founded in early 2024 and backed by Sequoia Capital, Redpoint Ventures, and other leading investors, Serval is trusted by companies like Fox, Notion, Perplexity, Vercel, and Brex to automate high-volume operational work across IT, HR, Finance, Security, Legal, and Engineering.
This is the first dedicated Revenue Strategy & Operations hire at Serval and a critical priority for the go-to-market team. You will partner with Sales leadership to drive strategy and operations, making the sales team measurably more productive while identifying and executing the highest-leverage growth levers.
Key responsibilities include: setting strategic direction by identifying growth levers (segment focus, coverage models, new motions) and building the case for each; driving forecasting excellence at rep, segment, and company levels; implementing a scalable operating cadence including pipeline generation, pipeline reviews, sales methodology adoption, and business reviews; and scoping and leading strategic initiatives end-to-end from thesis through rollout to measured results.
You will improve workflows and processes by identifying friction in the selling motion and removing it through process, tooling, and handoff optimization. You'll codify sales methodology, qualification standards, and stage definitions to ensure repeatability as the team scales. You'll improve GTM systems and data architecture (Salesforce and surrounding stack) to ensure trustworthy reporting and process enforcement. Additionally, you'll drive adoption of AI tools and identify opportunities where Serval itself should automate operational work.
You will foster data-driven decision-making by building analytics that explain performance across funnel conversion, velocity, win/loss, ramp, capacity, and segment productivity. You'll diagnose current and future gaps, design and drive fixes, and partner with Finance and Central RevOps on capacity planning, quota and territory design, and headcount modeling. You'll build tools that help reps understand and run their own business.
Required qualifications: 6-8+ years of experience in Sales Strategy & Operations, Revenue Operations, or Business Operations at a high-growth B2B software company. Consulting, banking, PE, or corporate strategy backgrounds are desired. You must demonstrate strong analytical skills, including Excel/Sheets mastery and preferably SQL and BI tooling. You need credibility working with senior sales leadership through individual contributors and cross-functional stakeholders. Knowledge of Salesforce and the GTM tech stack (Gong, Outreach, Amplemarket, Clay, etc.) is a plus. Experience scaling companies from single-digit to nine-figure ARR, enterprise displacement sales motions, or AI-driven productivity innovations is valued. Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week in San Francisco.
