OpenLoop is a telehealth platform that streamlines virtual care delivery across all 50 states. The company is seeking a Manager of Incentive Compensation to own the accuracy, timeliness, and defensibility of commission payouts across the go-to-market organization.
This is a build-and-run role combining operational execution with strategic system improvement. You will own the full commission administration cycle: calculating and issuing statements, resolving disputes, partnering with Finance on accruals and payroll, and modeling plan changes. You'll move commission logic from manual spreadsheet work onto real system infrastructure, enabling faster plan iteration and better governance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Running the complete commission cycle for the GTM organization: validating closed-won data, applying plan mechanics, calculating payouts, and producing clear statements
- Owning crediting and attribution logic, including quota/territory assignments, split-deal resolution, and edge-case adjudication
- Validating commissionable data and building reconciliation checks between CRM, Finance systems, and payroll
- Serving as the first line for rep and manager commission questions, investigating discrepancies and documenting resolutions
- Modeling plan changes, attainment distributions, payout curves, and cost-of-sales scenarios; flagging administrative or gaming risks
- Partnering with Finance on accruals, forecasting, and payroll delivery on schedule
- Working with Revenue Systems to move commission logic into the CRM and reporting layer
- Maintaining plan documents, quota records, exception logs, and process runbooks for auditability
Success is measured by payout accuracy, on-time cycle delivery, declining dispute volume, automation progress, audit readiness, and stakeholder trust from Sales leadership, Finance, and reps.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5–7+ years of experience in commission operations, sales compensation, revenue operations, or FP&A, including ownership of a full commission cycle for a multi-segment GTM team
- Experience designing or materially redesigning incentive plans, not only administering them
- Advanced spreadsheet skills (Excel and Google Sheets): complex formula logic, large data sets, and models built for external audit
- Working knowledge of incentive compensation mechanics: quota, attainment, accelerators, draws, clawbacks, splits, and crediting rules
- Hands-on experience with CRM data (HubSpot and/or Salesforce): understanding where revenue data lives, how it gets dirty, and how to validate it
- Exceptional accuracy and self-review discipline
- Clear written and verbal communication with non-analytical audiences
- Discretion with confidential compensation data
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to bring structure to undocumented processes
- SQL, BI tooling (Looker, Tableau), or compensation platform experience (CaptivateIQ, Xactly, Spiff) is a plus
