OpenAI's Business Marketing team is seeking a Resource Manager to oversee creative work intake, prioritization, and resource allocation across the organization's marketing portfolio. This role serves as the operational hub for business marketing and integrated marketing work, managing the flow of requests from multiple stakeholders including creative teams, product marketing, agencies, regional teams, and leadership.
Key responsibilities include owning the end-to-end portfolio system (intake, triage, prioritization, routing, staffing, and capacity planning), evaluating incoming requests against business priorities and available capacity, and making independent decisions about what work should proceed, be grouped with related initiatives, be self-served, redirected to other teams, deferred, or declined. The role requires identifying patterns across fragmented requests to create coherent programs, matching work to the right internal teams, creative disciplines, agencies, or contractors based on skills and impact, and building creative solutions when resources are constrained.
You will maintain visibility into capacity, demand, staffing gaps, and portfolio risks across global strategy teams, execution teams, Business Marketing, Consumer Marketing, and shared services. The position involves creating lightweight tools, workflows, and AI-enabled systems to improve intake quality and portfolio visibility, communicating difficult prioritization decisions clearly to stakeholders, and navigating a highly matrixed organization where teams, budgets, and decision rights often overlap.
The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience in creative operations, resource management, portfolio management, integrated marketing operations, agency operations, production, or consulting. You should have deep understanding of how integrated marketing, creative, product marketing, brand, agencies, content, web, and events teams collaborate, particularly in fast-paced tech environments. Strong business judgment, systems thinking, stakeholder management skills, and comfort with data-driven decision-making are essential. You thrive in ambiguous, high-pressure environments and can balance competing priorities while maintaining trust across the organization.
