Heidi Health is building AI-powered clinical tools that have processed 73 million patient visits in 18 months and now support 2.5 million patient sessions weekly across 190+ countries. The company's mission is to double global healthcare capacity by automating administrative burden on clinicians.
As Release Manager, you will own the complete release lifecycle across Heidi's product surfaces (web, mobile, EHR-integrated enterprise deployments). You are responsible for ensuring every production change arrives predictably, safely, and with full compliance documentation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the release calendar and cadence, ensuring predictable shipping across all product surfaces
- Making go/no-go decisions by evaluating test coverage, change size, dependency risk, and incident history alongside engineering leads
- Serving as single point of coordination for cross-team releases, aligning engineering, QA, security, support, and customer teams
- Managing change communication for enterprise health system customers, including release notes, staged rollouts, and compliance evidence trails
- Ensuring medical device compliance by working with internal compliance teams on release process validation
- Driving DORA metrics (change lead time, deployment frequency) while maintaining safety
- Partnering with platform engineers to optimize CI/CD pipelines, feature flags, canary deployments, and rollback procedures
- Coordinating hotfixes and rollbacks, conducting post-incident retros
- Maintaining environment integrity across globally distributed teams
You bring proven experience running releases at fast-moving SaaS companies, ideally in regulated environments (healthcare, fintech, clinical tech). You are technically fluent—able to read pipelines, assess risk, and evaluate rollback plans. You have deep knowledge of CI/CD, observability tools, source control workflows, feature flagging, and modern deployment patterns. You operate calmly under pressure, communicate fluidly with both engineers and enterprise customers, and balance velocity with enterprise healthcare discipline. You are data-driven, tracking KPIs and using evidence to inform decisions.
This is an in-office role in Melbourne (or Sydney), requiring coordination across significant timezone gaps with Australian product and engineering teams. You will work closely with the Head of Engineering and have real influence over global shipping practices.
