FlixBus is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to own end-to-end operational performance across the Black Sea region (Romania, Bulgaria, Greece). This role is central to ensuring high-quality bus service delivery through partner and driver management, route optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner & Route Onboarding: Technically and operationally prepare bus partners for new route launches, including driver training and operational readiness.
- Route Management & Quality Control: Monitor assigned routes for punctuality, safety, quality standards, and additional services; conduct vehicle and driver inspections.
- Standards & Optimization: Drive continuous improvement of connections in line with FlixBus standards; identify and implement operational efficiencies.
- Driver Training & Support: Train drivers and provide ongoing technical and operational support to bus partners across the region.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with bus partners and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Project & Crisis Management: Lead complex operational projects and improvement initiatives from planning through implementation; manage crisis situations with clear ownership and measurable outcomes.
- Reporting & Collaboration: Contribute specialized knowledge to global and local projects; keep stakeholders informed on results and next steps.
- Operational Ownership: Take independent ownership of assigned operational areas, manage day-to-day topics, and serve as operational backup for the Senior Operations Manager.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in bus operations, transportation processes, and partner management
- Fluency in English and Romanian (Bulgarian or Greek a plus)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
